Introduction & Conclusion Paragraphs

The introduction paragraph is pretty much telling the reader.....

• what they're about to read

• What they've already read

• What they should write about

• Nothing to do with anything

A hook should...

• bore the reader

• make the reader interested in what is in the rest of the paper

• catch a fish

• `conclude the paper

The conclusion should....

• summarize your paper

• introduce new topics

• confuse the reader

• make the reader wish they hadn't read what you wrote
