VOICED : Rumba merengue y cerveza Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Unesco

UNESCO has added cultural expressions from Spain, Cuba, Belgium, and the Dominican Republic to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The Cuban rumba, recognized for its role in community life and as a symbol of resistance, was dedicated to Fidel Castro. The Dominican merengue was included for its national identity significance. Belgium's beer culture, with its vast variety, was also recognized. Spain's Fallas Festival, known for its giant effigy burnings, was added to the list. These recognitions aim to raise awareness of cultural heritage's importance. The examination of additional candidatures will continue.
