Maximiliano Ruiz, the 121st recovered grandchild in Argentina, recently discovered his true origins. He was one of 500 babies taken from their mothers during the 1976-1983 dictatorship. Raised by adoptive parents unaware of his origins, he learned about his biological parents, Ana María Lanzilote and Domingo Mena, who were involved in the Revolutionary Workers' Party. Maximiliano, who studied medicine like his biological father, felt an immediate connection with his biological family. He expresses gratitude for his expanded family, not replacing but adding to it.
