VOICED : Arabia Saudi generara 10% de energia renovable en siete anos

Saudi Arabia is aiming to transform its energy sector to be more environmentally friendly. The Ministry of Energy announced several renewable energy projects at an investment forum in Riyadh. These projects include 30 renewable energy initiatives to be completed over the next seven years, adding approximately 10 gigawatts of renewable energy to the national grid. By 2023, renewable energy is expected to account for 10% of the kingdom's total energy. The projects, including solar and wind, are estimated to cost between $30 and $50 billion. A solar plant is already in the works with 51 mostly foreign companies involved, and a wind project is set to launch later this year. Nuclear energy is also being considered, though details are not yet available.
