In Washington, around 200 protesters gathered at the OAS headquarters to demand intervention in Venezuela, citing human rights violations. The OAS was concurrently discussing the situation in Caracas, where protests have resulted in four deaths. Protesters submitted a letter urging the OAS to enforce the democratic clause of the Inter-American Charter and called for the release of detained protesters and opposition leader Leopoldo López. They also highlighted Venezuela's severe economic issues, including product shortages and over 56% annual inflation. Meanwhile, across the street, some Latin American citizens showed support for the Bolivarian revolution.
