The United Nations has issued a warning about a potential humanitarian catastrophe in Syria if sufficient aid is not provided. During a donor conference in Kuwait, the UN aims to raise $8.4 billion to support the Syrian population affected by four years of war. The UN emphasizes the vulnerability of children, with millions needing assistance and many out of school. Since 2011, over 215,000 people have died, and half of the Syrian population has been displaced or become refugees.
