VOICED : Oposicion venezolana rechaza juramentar a gobernadores ante Cons

The Venezuelan opposition has refused to have its elected governors swear in before the pro-government Constituent Assembly, as demanded by President Nicolás Maduro. According to Venezuelan law, governors should be sworn in before regional legislative councils. The opposition views swearing in before the Constituent Assembly as invalid. They also accuse the National Electoral Council of manipulating voting centers to disadvantage opposition voters. Despite these challenges, the opposition encourages participation in the elections, which were delayed from 2016 to the current year. Polls suggest the opposition could win between 11 to 18 states, depending on voter turnout.
