Automakers Look To Reopen Plants in Mid-May

Automakers in the US and Canada, including Ford and Fiat Chrysler, plan to reopen plants in mid-May. GM, which shifted production to ventilators and masks due to COVID-19, reported a $294 million profit for Q1 2020, despite a $1.4 billion impact from the virus. GM is still discussing reopening its plants in Mexico.
