Michael Flynn Asks Appeals Court To Dismiss His Criminal Case

Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI, is seeking to have his case dismissed. His lawyers withdrew his guilty plea, and the Justice Department decided to drop the case. However, Judge Emmet Sullivan has not dismissed it yet and has invited outside opinions. Flynn's attorney, Sidney Powell, filed a petition to stop this and remove Sullivan from the case. The appeals court's decision is pending, with oral arguments scheduled for July 16th.
