VOICED : Sochi venues take shape

The Sochi Olympic Park, located on the Black Sea, features six venues and the grand Olympic Stadium, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies. The stadium, with a wing-shaped roof and 40,000 seats, is the tallest and largest building in the park. Snow events will occur 50 kilometers inland, where significant infrastructure, including roads, railways, and bridges, has been developed. With a budget exceeding €5 billion, Russia aims to showcase its best side, similar to China's 2008 Olympics. The Sochi 2014 Olympics will be the largest event in Russia since the USSR's fall, attracting thousands of participants and a global TV audience of three billion.
