States, Cities Implement Mandates To Protect Kids From COVID-19

The CDC reports that 258 children under 17 were hospitalized daily last week. In response, cities and states are implementing new safety mandates. A federal judge has ordered a mask mandate in a large Tennessee school district, while an Arizona judge struck down a ban on school mask mandates. Massachusetts is extending its mask requirements in public schools through November 1st. In New York, hospitals and nursing homes can now dismiss unvaccinated workers.
