VOICED : Chile inicia vacunación contra covid-19 de menores entre 3 y 5 años

Chile has initiated a COVID-19 vaccination campaign for children aged 3 to 5 using the Sinopharm vaccine, aiming to immunize 700,000 children. Previously, vaccinations were available for children aged six and above. Chile boasts one of the highest vaccination rates globally, with 91% of adults fully vaccinated and booster doses administered to nearly nine million people. The country has reported 1.7 million COVID-19 cases and over 38,000 deaths. Recently, Chile detected its first case of the highly contagious Omicron variant.
