VOICED : Chileno inculpado y en detención provisional en Francia por asesinato de exnovia japonesa

Nicolás Cepeda, a 29-year-old Chilean, was officially charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Narumi Kurosaki, who disappeared in 2016. After being extradited from Santiago, he appeared before a judge in Besançau, France. The prosecution alleges that Cepeda traveled to France to commit the crime after learning of Kurosaki's new relationship. Evidence includes GPS data, surveillance footage, and credit card purchases. Despite the absence of Kurosaki's body, investigators believe she is dead. Cepeda's defense is led by Jacqueline Laffont, known for defending former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. A trial is not expected before next year.
