Feds Charge 4 Police Officers In Fatal Breonna Taylor Raid

In March 2020, an emergency technician was fatally shot during a police raid in Louisville, KY. The Justice Department has charged four current and former Louisville police officers with federal civil rights violations. Officers Joshua James, Kyle Meaney, and Kelly Goodlett were charged with submitting a false affidavit and conspiring to create a cover story. Brett Sinkinson was indicted for deprivation of rights. This marks the first federal charges against officers involved in the raid, with Hankinson previously acquitted of state charges.
