VOICED : Corte ordena detencion de Mursi

On Friday, Egyptians gathered for rival protests organized by the army and the Muslim Brotherhood, following the ousting of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi. The government increased security across Egypt due to political violence that resulted in over 200 deaths in the past month. On the same day, a Cairo court ordered Morsi's detention for alleged involvement in attacks linked to Hamas and a 2011 jailbreak. The Muslim Brotherhood condemned the detention as a vendetta by the former Mubarak regime. Morsi, held in a secret location since his removal on July 3, will remain in preventive detention for up to 15 days.
