Lake Nakuru Flamingos & Friends: The life of a flamingo

Chicks are born with red bills and pink legs, which turn black within days. They are fed a nutrient-rich milk by adults until they can feed themselves. Flamingos use their long legs and specialized bills to filter food from water, playing a crucial role in their ecosystem by recycling nutrients. Their diet includes algae, diatoms, seeds, and small aquatic organisms.
