Ellie & The Rainy Day by Kimberly Davis-Peters

Ellie wakes up excited for a sunny day but finds it's raining. Initially disappointed, her mother shows her how to have fun in the rain by jumping in puddles and singing. They enjoy a rainy day lunch and Ellie paints a picture of their day. As the rain ends, they see a rainbow. At bedtime, Ellie realizes rainy days can be fun too.
