Medina Spirit Stripped Of Kentucky Derby Victory

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission disqualified a horse due to a failed drug test conducted after the race. Medina Spirit, the horse in question, died in December following a workout. The commission also suspended and fined the horse's trainer, Bob Baffert, who plans to appeal the decision. As a result, the second-place horse, Mend Alone, is now declared the winner.
