Lions International Parade in 1956 Miami

Lions International held its 39th annual convention in Miami, featuring a grand parade. As the world's largest service club, it has 545,000 members across 12,200 clubs. The convention saw 40,000 attendees from 75 countries, including all U.S. states and territories, and Canada. Accommodations spanned 175 hotels. Last year, the Lions spent over $50 million on projects, working globally for peace. The event was warmly welcomed by Uncle Sam and Florida.
