VOICED : La ONU pide a República Dominicana que deje de deportar haitianos

Volker Turk from the UN urged the Dominican Republic to stop deporting Haitians fleeing a humanitarian crisis. The Dominican government, led by President Luis Abinader, rejected this request, stating they will continue and even increase deportations. The government has tightened migration policies and is building a border wall with Haiti. As of September, nearly 86,000 people, mostly Haitians, have been deported. Meanwhile, the UN is considering sending an international military force to Haiti to address the political chaos, gang violence, and cholera outbreak.
