VOICED : Convierten en museo casa de la artista Leonora Carrington en Ciudad de México

The Casa del Artista Anglo-Mexicana in Mexico City, once home to Leonora Carrington, is now a museum. The museum showcases over 8,600 objects from the Weiss-Carrington family, offering an intimate look at the artist's life. The house was sold to a university with the condition it becomes a museum, and artworks valued at three million dollars were donated. Despite Carrington's high market value, the museum aims to enhance understanding of her work. The museum preserves the artist's living spaces authentically. This is the third museum dedicated to Carrington in Mexico, with others in San Luis Potosí. The museum will open when UNAM reopens post-pandemic.
