American Airlines To Cut 30% Of Management, Support Staff

Airlines are reducing staff due to COVID-19's impact. American Airlines announced a 30% staff reduction, offering buyouts to affected employees. If insufficient buyouts occur by June 10th, layoffs may follow, although the CARES Act restricts furloughs and salary cuts until September. United Airlines also plans a 30% management reduction.
