A report by Coal Swarm highlights that these countries are funding coal plant construction in nations like Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, and Bangladesh. While transitioning to renewable energy at home, they continue to support coal projects abroad. China has funded 26 gigawatts, Japan 20 gigawatts, and South Korea 8 gigawatts of coal power, equivalent to numerous coal plants.
