NASA | NASA selects OSIRIS-REx as New Frontiers Mission

The Osiris Rex mission, launched in 2016, aims to explore asteroid RQ 36 to understand its composition and potential resources. The mission will collect samples to study the origins of the solar system and organic molecules that may have seeded life on Earth. Managed by NASA Goddard, the mission's findings could reveal insights into how life began on our planet. The sample return in 2023 will provide valuable data for decades of research.
