In the Philippines, reconstruction continues after a devastating typhoon in November that killed around 8,000 people. Many Filipinos turned to churches for hope, believing in miracles. The typhoon, one of the strongest ever recorded, caused widespread destruction. Despite the hardship, a survey shows 62% of Filipinos remain hopeful for a joyful Christmas. The Philippines is the largest Catholic country in Asia, with 80% of its population identifying as Catholic.
