Tunisia has decided to extradite al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi, former Libyan Prime Minister under Gaddafi, to Libya. The Tunisian government, led by Prime Minister Hamadi Hebbali, confirmed the decision, stating it is final and does not require the president's signature. Libya has assured Tunisia that al-Mahmoudi will receive a fair trial, although his lawyers fear execution upon return. Al-Mahmoudi was arrested in Tunisia in September, and Libya has since requested his extradition to face justice.
