In the early morning, hundreds of migrants were evacuated from a camp north of Paris to curb the spread of COVID-19. The camp, located in Aubervillers, housed between 300 and 600 people and was one of many that appeared in Paris since the 2015 migrant crisis. Recently, the number of migrants increased significantly, prompting authorities to announce an evacuation due to worsening crowding conditions. Migrants were transported by bus to gyms and hotels in the Paris region, where they will undergo medical examinations to check for COVID-19 symptoms.
