VOICED : Canciller venezolana acude sin invitacion a reunion de Mercosur

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodríguez attended a MERCOSUR meeting in Buenos Aires despite Venezuela's suspension from the bloc. The meeting, attended by Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay, focused on Venezuela's non-compliance with MERCOSUR's technical and economic standards. Outside the Argentine Foreign Ministry, protesters showed support for Venezuela. The meeting also addressed the regional crisis and a trade agreement with the EU that excludes Venezuela. Argentine Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra announced that Buenos Aires will assume the MERCOSUR presidency on January 1.
