NASCAR Grand National stock car race in Daytona Beach, FL

Tim Flock, an Atlanta veteran and last year's winner, participates in the NASCAR Grand National Stock Car Competition at Daytona Beach, Florida. Due to the incoming tide, the race distance is reduced from 160 miles to 152 miles. The racers average about 90 miles per hour under challenging conditions. Tim Flock, driving a 1956 Chrysler, completes the race in 1 hour, 40 minutes, and 24 seconds, securing his second consecutive victory.
