Most COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated, with vaccinated individuals making up only 1-2% of cases. The spread is attributed to the delta variant and lax adherence to safety measures. Officially, Russia reports over 227,000 COVID-19 deaths, but estimates suggest the number exceeds 400,000.
