She married President Lula da Silva in 2022, after a secretive relationship that began in 2017. Rosángela has a background in sociology and worked for Itaipu Binacional for nearly 20 years. She is Lula's third wife and has been a member of the Workers' Party since 1983. Despite her private nature, she actively participated in Lula's campaign, using social media and public appearances to support him and criticize former President Jair Bolsonaro.
