VOICED : In the Louisiana Bayou, an island slowly disappears under water

Ilj Island, located 80 miles south of New Orleans, is facing severe challenges due to rising sea levels, frequent storms, and coastal erosion. Once home to over 700 families, the island now hosts barely 30, with many residents forced to leave due to economic decline and lack of support from local authorities. Despite these challenges, the remaining community is determined to preserve their traditions and way of life, even as their land continues to disappear.
