Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh depart Canada for home

The Royal Highness' concluded their historic tour of Canada in Newfoundland, embarking on a ferry to the liner Empress of Scotland. They left Canada behind, starting their voyage home. Upon arrival in Liverpool, they were welcomed by local dignitaries and the public, reversing the program they would have followed if they had traveled to Canada by sea. The visit concluded with a public welcome and a visit to England's new architectural glory.
