Peru introduced the first of three papamóviles for Pope Francis's visit from January 18 to 21. The vehicle includes safety modifications to prevent incidents like the one in Colombia. It features an open back for better public interaction and allows the Pope to communicate with the driver. The papamóvil has two seats and a rounder dome. All three vehicles were modified in Colombia and assembled in Peru. The Pope will visit Puerto Maldonado, Trujillo, and hold a mass in Lima.
