The Colombian government prioritizes reducing plantations, especially after peace agreements with ASFARC, which has historically hindered eradication efforts. Under current agreements, ASFARC is expected to cooperate in reducing cultivation. Colombia remains the world's leading producer of coca leaves, the primary ingredient for cocaine.
