Following these findings, the UK government began immediate distribution of dexamethasone, which is cost-effective and widely available. Another study highlighted the lower incidence of COVID-19 among young people, with those under 20 having half the risk of infection compared to older individuals. Models developed by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine indicated that only 20% of youths aged 10-19 may show symptoms, compared to 70% of those over 70.
