Months after the earthquakes in central Italy, rescue operations continue to save thousands of art pieces from the rubble. The Blue Helmets, a cultural version of the UN Peacekeeping Forces, are leading these efforts. They recover and catalog damaged items, which are then restored by experts. An agreement between Italy and UNESCO aims to deploy this force globally, with Palmira, Syria, as a future destination. Meanwhile, invaluable artifacts are being saved locally, and plans are in place to train more Blue Helmets.
