Astronomers discover why solar system may be croissant-shaped

Comet Leonard, officially named C2021A1, is an ultra-fast comet traveling at 71 km/s. It took 40,000 years to reach its closest point to the sun on January 3rd, a year after its discovery. The comet will return to deep space, coming back in about 80,000 years. Composed mainly of ice and dust, its tail becomes more visible as it nears the sun, though binoculars are needed for viewing.
