Arrowhead frogs have venomous skin that deters predators. They lay eggs in water, and the male frog transports the tadpoles to tree-top bromeliads filled with rainwater. The male then seeks a female to provide unfertilized eggs for the tadpoles to eat, aiding their development into frogs. Once mature, the frogs leave the bromeliad to find their own food. Despite being deadly, arrowhead frogs are caring parents.
