Continents are large land areas made up of countries. The seven continents are Africa, Asia, Antarctica, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. They differ in size and population. Some continents have alternative names, like Eurasia for Europe and Asia combined. Oceania, also known as Australasia, consists of several countries.
