NASA & SpaceX Launch Asteroid Deflection Mission

SpaceX and NASA launched a joint mission called the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) to alter the course of an asteroid named Die Morphos, which is 7 million miles from Earth. Although Die Morphos poses no immediate threat, the mission aims to develop a model for future asteroid deflection strategies.
