Unique surgery allows cancer patient to dance again

In 2016, 12-year-old Delaney Unger was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her left knee, requiring chemotherapy and amputation. Due to the cancer's location, doctors performed a rare rotationplasty in 2017, amputating her knee and reattaching her rotated ankle to function as a knee. By October 2017, Delaney was cancer-free and received a prosthetic that allowed her to walk, jump, and dance.
