VOICED : Mongolia busca fosiles de dinosaurio robados por traficantes

The Gobi Desert in Mongolia has been a site of significant paleontological interest since dinosaur eggs were discovered nearly a century ago. Over time, many fossils disappeared, often ending up with foreign collectors. Efforts to protect these fossils are led by Surenjab, the sole full-time park ranger, who collaborates with police and volunteers. Despite challenges, a 2012 government campaign shifted local perceptions, leading to the recovery of valuable fossils. The US black market was a major destination for these fossils, but legal efforts have helped close this market, allowing more fossils to return to Mongolia.
