He commanded the powerful Queen Anne's Revenge and wreaked havoc in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, earning the nickname El Gran Diablo. Despite his successes, morale among his crew waned due to lack of significant loot. Blackbeard's bold blockade of Charleston marked a high point in his career. Eventually, he was killed in a battle at Ocracoke Island, ending his reign of terror. His legacy as a legendary pirate endures, symbolizing the last great age of piracy.
