Spain is experiencing an unusually early heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 40°C, significantly above the seasonal average. This extreme heat affects daily life, making it difficult to work and rest. Nine out of seventeen regions are on orange alert, with conditions expected to persist until Saturday. The heatwave, originating from North Africa, is moving towards France. Over the past ten months, Spain has faced four extreme temperature events, including a record 47°C in Montoro. Scientists attribute the increasing frequency of heatwaves, especially in Europe, to global warming.
