TED-Ed: How Thor got his hammer - Scott A. Mellor

Loki, the trickster god, cuts off Sif's hair as a prank, angering Thor. To fix his mistake, Loki seeks the help of dwarves, pitting two families against each other in a crafting competition. The dwarves create gifts for the gods, including Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. Despite Loki's attempts to manipulate the outcome, the gods favor the gifts from Brokk and Eitri. Loki tries to escape his punishment but is caught and has his lips sewn shut as a consequence of his deceit.
