The Science of Earth's Rotation

The video explains that although we don't feel it, Earth spins at about 1,600 km/h. This rotation causes the regular occurrence of day and night. Historically, people believed the sun moved around Earth, but we now understand that Earth rotates on its axis every 24 hours, causing the sun to appear to rise and set. This rotation results in daylight when our side of Earth faces the sun and night when it rotates away.
