Mongolia

Mongolia is a sparsely populated, landlocked country in Eastern Asia, bordered by Russia and China. Its economy relies on livestock and mining. The capital, Ulaanbaatar, houses nearly half of the population. Mongolians, mostly of Mongolian ethnicity, speak Mongol and practice Tibetan Buddhism. They live traditionally in gers and celebrate culture through festivals. Historically, Genghis Khan founded a vast empire, and Mongolia was a Soviet satellite state in the 20th century. Now, it's a semi-presidential republic. Geographically, Mongolia features mountains, plateaus, and the Gobi Desert. The climate is cold and dry, with sudden weather changes.
