Olympics Still Happening Despite Coronavirus

The International Olympic Committee announced that there are no plans to reschedule, relocate, or cancel the Olympic Games despite the coronavirus pandemic. Athletes are encouraged to continue training for the games, which are set to begin on July 24th. Japanese Prime Minister Abbe Chinzo expressed his desire to hold the Olympics as a testament to overcoming the virus. The pandemic has resulted in over 7,800 deaths and 195,000 infections worldwide, with Japan reporting nearly 900 cases and 29 deaths.
