Truck driver caught smuggling 149 people inside 18-wheeler

149 immigrants were found in a truck at a US Border Patrol checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. The truck was heading to San Antonio and was scanned, revealing anomalies. Further inspection showed the immigrants, who were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, El Salvador, Peru, and Ecuador, were inside the sealed cargo area without PPE. The driver admitted to smuggling people in previous trips and was expecting payment upon reaching San Antonio.
